The system chassis is only 500mm in depth, and optional tool-free rack rails is available for various short-depth environments.
Controller Based Architecture
The COTT® x86 based controller storage server series integrates the mainboard and system disk in one controller module and through a high-speed signal connector. It also supports hot-swappable structure with the backplane, which benefits users on easy service and system maintenance by reduce down time.
The controller module supports one PCI-E x8 expansion slots and two 2.5-inch SATA hot-swap hard disk drives (2U8 bay/12 bays) and one PCI-E x8 expansion bit and one 2.5-inch SATA hot-swappable hard disk drive (2U16 bays).
The PCIe expansion can support various PCIe devices such as 10GbE network card and low power grade GPU.
With the Re-driver technology, the JBOD can be cascaded to achieve up to 4-tier daisy-chained expansion. The host system can directly manage the operating status of JBOD at all levels.
Cable-less in Modular Design
The entire system realizes a cable-less design and directly enhances the cooling of the system. Not only prolongs the service life of the fan, but also reduces the operating noise of the system to 50 dB or lower.
Not only the main controllers, but also fans, power supplies, and hard disks are all modularized. In general, replacing cables with PCB boards can greatly improves system reliability and heat dissipation.
Great Peripherals Compatibility
The system supports Intel® Xeon® processor E3-1200 v5/v6 system processor, compatible with i3, i5, i7, Pentium, Celeron, LGA1151 and other processors. On the storage, the system supports SAS/SATA 3.5-inch/2.5-inch hard drives.
Through optional specific drive model with MAID technology, it can greatly reduce system power consumption for energy saving. The entire drive array supports sequential spin-up, which also reduces the startup power consumption of the entire unit.
